Artists will be painting daily all over the Tarpon Springs landscape and showing their work daily at Tarapani’s Fine Art & Antiques, 128 E. Tarpon Ave., Tarpon Springs, FL, from 10am to 5pm. Drop by to view or to buy an original work of art.
Monday, Nov. 3 – 2:00pm at the Community Center, 400 S. Walton Ave., Tarpon Springs – a demonstration by Robert Simone for the Tarpon Springs Art Association
Monday evening – a “Meet & Greet Reception” for the artists and sponsors, given by LeepaRattnerMuseum of Art.
Tuesday – possible boat trip to Anclote Key for artists (depending on weather) –painting around the city – dropping off work at Tarapani’s
Wednesday – painting around the city – dropping off work at Tarapani’s – a planned dinner for artists
Thursday –painting and dropping off work at Tarapani’s . Music on the Beach at SunsetBeach starts at 7pm. It is the last in a monthly series of performances. A good classic rock group performing and a bonfire with roasting of marshmallows, a tradition for the last show. There is parking along the causeway to the beach but if that is full, they allow you to park in the high school lot and a bus will shuttle you to and fro. Hot dogs and pizza slices, etc. are available there.
Friday – painting the city – dropping off work at Tarapani’s-tour of Inness property for artists.
Saturday – All work must be into the gallery by noon. A Quick Draw will occur from noon to 2pm. This is where artists are given a two hour window to do a painting in a specific location. These will be judged with awards on the spot. This is open to all who would like to participate, with a $10 entry fee, applied to the award fund.
The Reception for the artists will be from 7 to 9pm at the Tarapani’s Fine Art & Antiques gallery. The public is invited with no charge.
Sunday – The exhibit comes down at 3pm.
